I am documenting the process I am taking in this journey to become admitted to Soongsil University.
I have coordinated with them through email and they have provided me with ample information to get started.
Let's begin with the requirements? What are the requirement to take a Master's degree there?
The file they sent me is mostly in Korean, but some important parts for international students are in English.
Here are the QUALIFICATIONS for Master's:
Yes I am a Filipino citizen. I have a Bachelor's degree
Official Korean OR English proficiency. I dont have one in Korean but I am from an English speaking country. So this is already a qualification.

Here is the application procedure:
(1) Sign-up at the online application system
(2) Finish online application within the application period
(3) Wire transfer the application fee until 4pm on the last day of the application period

- Remit the fee including remittance charges. Please write down your name as a remitter when you transfer the fee to the bank account below and send the receipt to us with other documents.

(4) Print out the application summary page from the online application system and sign on it
(5) Submit the required documents in person or by post with the application summary paper by 4pm on the last day of the application period.

I haven't done any of these yet. As I am still finalizing my requirements and the registration period is not yet open for the upcoming term.
Here are some things to be careful about, though!
(1) Applicants are solely responsible for disadvantages resulting from incorrect, false, or missing information on the application form. In case an applicant cannot be reached, the applicant may be excluded from the assessment process.
(2) It is not allowed to apply for two or more departments at the same time, and the applicants must click the “submit” button after filling out application information online.
(3) The application fee will not be returned after the application period, and the admitted applicants cannot get the submitted documents back, either. In case an applicant is requested to submit supplementary documents that are not specified in this guide for the eligibility verification, he/she must submit the documents.
(4) Each applicant must bring his/her identification document when they attend the interview.
(5) After the admission decision has been made, a student admitted with an expected graduation certificate must submit his/her final degree certificate and a final transcript within the designated period, otherwise, his/her admission will be cancelled.
(6) In case the admission is cancelled after the start of class (March 1 for the spring admission, September 1 for the fall admission), only a partial amount of the tuition fee will be returned.
(7) After the result announcement, the Soongsil Graduate School will begin the degree authentication process. In case there is no reply from the previous university, the applicant is supposed to communicate with the previous university to finish the process. In case the verification process failed, his/her admission can be canceled even after the start of class.
(8) If an applicant fails to meet the application requirements, submits false information, commits cheating during the evaluation process, or an applicant’s visa application is denied, then his/her admission will be cancelled even after the admission is officially announced or classes start. In this case, the tuition fees will not be returned.
(9) Admitted international students must acquire a student visa and enter Korea before the semester begins. If an admitted student fails to enter Korea within a prescribed period after the semester starts, his/her admission can be cancelled.
(10) If the number of applicants for a department is less than a certain amount, the admission process for the department can be cancelled. In this case, the application fee will be returned.
(11) The final result of the admission process will be posted on the online application website. There will be NO individual notification and applicants are solely responsible for confirming their admission status.
(12) General policies and regulations of the university will be applied for situations that are not specified in this guide.
(13) If an applicant’s previous field of study is different from the admitted program, or the applicant has graduated from a specialized or professional graduate school, he/she would need to take prerequisite courses or additional credits.
Now let's talk about the requirements:
What are the thing we need to prepare?
So far the APPLICATION SUMMARY is easy to do. It's just a form that has to be filled out.
The other requirements are mostly documents.
Good thing I don't need any recommendation letter anymore since it is only needed in DOCTORAL DEGREES.
But this is what I still need to do: I need to NOTARIZE my degree certificate and have an apostille certification; this is something I must do first.
My TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS is already available after months of waiting.
Family Relation Certificate I am guessing is documentation like birth certificate?
ID of my parents, that's easy to acquire.
Passport: I have this already.
Bank Balance Certificate. I need to have at least 1,000,000 pesos in my bank account before I can be admitted. But good thing they only need the certification for it.
And the last requirement (English language proficiency), I don't need to since I am from the Philippines.
Health Insurance
Mandatory Health Insurance Policy for International Students
(1) Health insurance is mandatory for all international students.
(2) International students need to pay for their health insurance each semester. In case a student has Korean national health insurance, he/she can get a refund after submitting the proof before a semester starts.
